Making CBD / THC Capsules With Weed Oils / Extracts What You Need Cannabis Material ( Distillate , CBD Oil, Shatter/wax , CBD , Rosin, Etc) Carrier oil ( Liquid Coconut oil, MCT Oil, Sunflower oil, etc) Capsules  Lecithin (Optional) Syringe / Dropper ( For filling caps) Mason Jar With Lid Gloves Capsule holder (Optional) Step 1 If you are going to be making capsules with a concentrate material that needs to be decarboxylated such as , shatter, wax, rosin, or hash, your first step will be to decarboxylate your material to activate the THC or CBD. If you are using a concentrate like THC Distillate, CBD Oil, RSO or other activated concentrates, you can skip to step 2. To decarb a weed concentrate like shatter or rosin, place your extract in a heat safe dish, or on a sheet of parchment paper and place it into your oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.  After 20 minutes, you can pull your decarbed extract out and allow it to cool or infuse it directly. Step 2 The next step we do is mix the lecithin and the coconut oil in the mason jar . We like to use lecithin personally because it helps with the absorption and effect of cannabinoids This mix will be the base for the oil that will carry the cannabis concentrates. We mixed ½ a cup of coconut oil with a half a teaspoon of lecithin in the mason jar and shook it with the lid on until the two oils blended into one fluid mix. Step 3 Now its time to add the cannabinoids.  We like to use pure THC distillate or Pure CBD oil and various blends of both, but you can use RSO, Shatter, Honey Oil, Wax, or whatever oil based concentrates you choose. It will be up to you to figure out your dosage. If your oil is already in a syringe, dispense it into the mason jar with the coconut oil and lecithin blend. For this article we used 2 grams of THC distillate to ½ a cup of coconut oil. Once you have dispensed the cannabis oil into the mason jar with the coconut/lecithin blend, shake it up until the mixture is completely blended. Our blend looks like a clear, golden oil. If you choose to use shatter or a more viscous concentrate, utilising a heat source, such as a double boiler system will help to blend the liquid quicker. Step 4 When your oil is completely blended, it is time to suck it up into a syringe. It is recommended to suck the blended oil up without a needle head on. Once you have all your oil in the syringe, than place the needle head on. For this article, we used a 5ml syringe and in a 16 gauge needle tip. Step 5 This is the point where you will fill your capsules. If you're lucky you have a capsule holder, or even filler, if not you will be doing it by hand. No problem,it might take a little longer, but that's what the gloves are for! Take your Capsules and carefully separate them. Once separated, take the larger half in one hand and your syringe in the other, and begin to gently fill the capsule until it is filled to your desire. For this article, we filled them almost to the top. Once your capsule half is full with cannabis oil, it is safe to put the other half of the capsule on completing the capsule.
