This is Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain pasta with chicken breast and Trader Joe's low sugar pasta sauce. The goal here is to eat a meal that has a lean protein, fiber, and complex carbohydrates. This type of meal is to designed to keep your insulin production even and not spike. The theory is that when your insulin remains even you are less likely to store fat on your body. Research shows that many people tend to store unwanted body fat when they eat food that are full of simple carbohydrates like white breads, pastas, rice, junk food, juices and sugary sodas. This sprouted grain pasta is an alternative to the white pastas (simple carbs). I found that by doing simple food swaps like these we can have the foods we like without the impact on fat storage as with traditional simple carb foods.
