If you're not losing weight on semaglutide, several underlying factors could be at play. First and foremost, inflammation is a significant factor that often flies under the radar. Chronic inflammation messes with your metabolism, leading to insulin resistance, which hinders weight loss by making it harder for your body to regulate blood sugar and control cravings. This can cause leptin resistance, too, making it difficult for your brain to recognize when you're full. So, even though you're taking semaglutide, inflammation could be one reason you're not seeing the scale move. Another crucial factor is nutrient deficiencies. If your body lacks essential nutrients like vitamin D, iron, or magnesium, it won't function at its best, and this includes metabolism. Hi Everyone, I got asked a great question about do I lose my heair doing KETO but the answer is no, as I take collagen supplements. Once we pass theage of 20 or 21 we start to lose collagen production levels, they start going down and we can replace them or age and lose our hair, have decreased nail growth, skin performance is inhibited, so I only discovered this in 2024!! Now I take collagen every day, but I have focussed on joint collagen and have only recently discovered that marine collagen is probably better for hair growth and skin, so today I am getting marine collagen powder and I wil do a two month experiment to see if my hair growth will improve!! Watch here!! I am happy that certainly the existing collagen I am taking has actually improved my hair growth and thickness, but this might be the missing link or icing on the cake! My hair growth pre-keto was pathetic. It had improved slightly without the collagen with the increase in my meat consumption, however I tend towards a very vegetarian KETO diet, so I do need a supplement.
